Water & Hysteria
Screen print stretched on canvas
118 x 83.5cm
In this group show, Moritz works with large textile canvases, connecting several myths or just exhibiting unique scence of vivid colour, orangic structures and semi-abstract symbolism.
His vibrant textile screen print represents a hunch of Greek mythology with all its figures, stories and elements. 'Water & Hysteria' delves into the tragic entity called Scylla, formally known as a innocent and beautiful Nymph, loved by the sea-god Glaucus, but her jealous rival, the witch Circe transform her into a sea monster.
