For Intersect, Iliana explores how the East End of London has been shaped and enriched by its histories of migration. Her textile piece combines handprinted monotypes, digital printing, text and stitch to commemorate the work and contribution of Huguenot, Jewish and Bangladeshi communities to the clothing and textile industry in the area since the 17th century. It invites us to reflect on our histories of migration and how they are narrated.
